Photographic Memory (ABC Soaps In Depth - October 23, 2017) Soaps In Depth celebrates the work of beloved photographer Arthur L. Cohn
Once upon a time, when New York City was home to AS THE WORLD TURNS, GUIDING LIGHT, ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, Soaps In Depth regularly commissioned photos to accompany our feature interviews and cover stories. At the top of our photographers list was Arthur L Cohen, a gentle man with a kind smile who time and time again captured picture-perfect moments. Cohen was forced to put down his camera for good when he was diagnosed in 2014 with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS — also known as Lou Gehrig's disease). Sadly, he passed away this summer after a brief but incredibly brave battle. As Cohen's photos will forever live on in the archives of soap-opera history, so will his memory in the hearts of the In Depth staff and the many actors whose lives he touched. Come along as we take a stroll down memory lane.
"My first photo shoot, when I started [as Katie] on ATWT, was with Arthur, and he could not have been more kind, encouraging, creative and talented," recalls Terri Conn, who later played OLTL's Aubrey. "An all-around beautiful soul who will be greatly missed!"

Ins & Outs (ABC Soaps In Depth - February 13, 2017) ABC is Discussing "Future" For Former Faves!
For the first time since Prospect Park's lawsuit was dismissed - reverting the rights to ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE back to ABC - a representative from the network has directly addressed whether or not there are any plans to incorporate the Pine Valley or Llanview characters into GH. In a recent Facebook post, Nathan Varni, head of current series programming for ABC Entertainment, revealed that "we are actively discussing these matters on a daily basis. We are taking our time, though, in planning out the future. As we are written out several months in advance, any use of characters from AMC or OLTL would have to be done in the right way, a way that makes sense for the future stories of GH while respecting the characters and their development."
But would AMC and OLTL vets consider reprising their former roles, or has that ship sailed for the performers? In Depth reached out to several fan favorites, all of whom told us that, despite the more than five years that have gone by, they haven't shut the door on bringing those characters to life again.
Ilene Kristen, who has since made several GH appearances as Ava's mom, RYAN'S HOPE character Delia, would jump at the chance to bring OLTL's Roxy back to life. "Of course! Almost every day, someone tells me how much they miss OLTL." Fellow Llanviewer Terri Conn (Aubrey) has encountered the same reaction from OLTL viewers. "So much time has gone by, and you would think that its time has passed, so to speak, but I am seeing just as much support from fans as ever! I would love to explore Aubrey further."
Interview! Alicia Minshew, Terri Conn behind the scenes of 'Wholly Broken' (Soaps.com - January 25, 2017)
Soaps.com had the pleasure of catching up with former soap opera actresses Alicia Minshew and Terri Conn who talked about their joint venture in Tom Humbert’s “Wholly Broken.” The musical TV faith-based series takes viewers on a journey into spirituality and humanity. The stories, developed from hot topics in the news today such as abortion, gun control, terrorism, gay marriage, bullying in schools, alcohol and drug abuse and unemployment, follow eight normal, imperfect people whose lives are intertwined and constantly intersected. The main character, an associate pastor named Tom Matthews (Tom Humbert), is a recovering alcoholic and a talented musician and singer who created the fellowship support group ‘Religious Rehab’, where all the characters meet once a month. When faced with problems, the characters must decide how to deal with them and what to believe, with the end results being inspiring, emotionally charged and triumphant.
Conn gave Soaps.com a look into her character, Kristen, and stated, “[She’s] a recovering alcoholic single mother of two, who lost her first husband in 9/11 and has recently divorced her second husband. She puts on a brave face, always covering her pain with a smile, but is desperately struggling to find meaning to all of this! She goes to church, but that peace that believers talk about still eludes her.” Of the film, Conn went on to say, “I’m so thrilled to be a part of an honest, yet inspirational look at modern day faith.”
Singer Martha Wash (The Weather Girls, “It’s Raining Men”) also appears in the series asterri-conn-wholly-broken-film Rose, a woman whose husband has Alzheimer’s. The project will be showcased at Proclaim 17, a NRN International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Florida, which runs Monday February 27 through Thursday March 2. Watch a teaser of Wholly Broken, featuring Minshew and Conn, and stay tuned to the official website for release details.
Minshew played “All My Children’s” Kendall Hart Slater from 2002 to 2011 and crossed over to sister soap “One Life to Live” from 2004 to 2005. She appeared as Robin Hunter in “The Funeral Guest,” which was released this month on DVD. Alongside her husband, Conn and Austin Peck starred in North of the City. Fans will remember Peck for his roles on “Days of our Lives” (Austin Reed), “One Life to Live” (Rick Powers) and playing Brad Snyder on “As the World Turns” opposite Conn as Katie Peretti Snyder (1998 to 2010). Conn also turned up on “The Young and the Restless” in 1995 as a model and played Aubrey Wentworth on “One Life to Live” from 2010 to 2011.
The episodes were filmed in the Hamptons and will include original songs. From the beginning of “Wholly Broken’s” production, both actresses shared their excitement about working together via social media and Minshew told Soaps.com, "I was so impressed with the cast they put together and I was especially happy to see Terri was on board. I knew she would rock that role!" She also shared a screenshot from the director’s view of her filming scenes, as well as a photo of her and the crew’s make-up artist Lisa Makowski clowning around on set.
INTERVIEW: Austin Peck on maniacal co-stars, Tainted Dreams' Amazon deal and his DAYS return (Soap Central - January 13, 2017)
soapcentral.com: Did you know that the ladies of DAYS say you're the best kisser they've ever had at work? Had you heard that?
Peck: Oh, my gosh. I read that in an article. Christie said that. How funny. If that's what Christie says, I'm going to have to take her word for it. There are worse titles to have. Actually, my wife, Terri [Conn, ex-Katie Snyder, ATWT; ex-Aubrey Wentworth, OLTL], sent me that article, and I was like, "Oh, man, am I in the dog house?" But she wasn't mad. She was very proud!
